Victoria Beckham May Play 'Lynn' In Alan Partridge Movie

Victoria Beckham is set to star in the new 'Alan Partridge' movie. The Spice Girl, who is desperate to make it as an actress, has reportedly signed up to play Steve Coogan's assistant Lynn in the big-screen adaptation of the hit British TV show, based around the mishaps of radio DJ Alan.

David and Victoria Beckham are top role models for schoolchildren

As seen on BestofBeckham.com

Superstar couple David and Victoria Beckham are top role models for schoolchildren in Britain, says a new study.

More than half the students wanted to be like football star Beckham, and almost a third wanted to grow up to be like his wife Victoria, thesun.co.uk reports.

Other idols included actress Keira Knightley and Paris Hilton, according to the study conducted by the Association of Teachers and Lecturers.

Though Beckham was a good role model, many teachers felt there were other stars that were a negative influence on the kids.

Said Jillie Gilligan, a teacher: "I've seen disturbingly age-inappropriate acts by young girls."

"Celebrities can raise ambitions, but we're concerned pupils believe celebrity status is available to everyone," said Mary Bousted, head of the association.

The shadow school minister Nick Gibb said: "It tells you something about our schools when Paris Hilton is a role model but not J.K. Rowling or Stephen Hawking."

They have come under criticism from some observers in the States recently but public opinion is still good. Depending on the exact content of this documentary, that could change," The Daily Telegraph quoted a source close to the couple, a saying.

The show by cable network E! Entertainment, namely 'True Hollywood Story: Posh And Becks' has revealed shocking stories about the couple.

Victoria Beckham 'worst-dressed celebrity'

As seen on Bestofbeckham.com

Victoria Beckham, who markets sunglasses and jeans under her own designer label, has been judged the world’s worst-dressed celebrity by a leading fashion guru.
Acid-tongued Richard Blackwell, who was designing dresses for the rich and famous when he started the list in 1960, attacked entertainment’s biggest stars in his compilation of fashion disasters for 2007.

It is the second time Mrs Beckham has made an appearance in the list’s number one slot.

In 1998 she featured along with her Spice Girl band mates who were derided by Mr Blackwell as "the only spices on the planet that have no taste."

And the 85-year-old LA-based designer still had plenty of venom to heap on the mother-of-three this year.

He said: "Forget the fashion spice, wearing a skirt would suffice! In one skinny-mini monstrosity after another, pouty Posh can really wreck-em."

Other stars listed for their fashion disasters included singers Amy Winehouse, Fergie, Kelly Clarkson and Jessica Simpson, Bond girl Eva Green and actress Lindsay Lohan.
Missing from the list was Britney Spears, who has made it many times before.

"I felt that it was inappropriate at this time to make comment, when her personal life is in such upheaval. I hope 2008 is a better year for her," Blackwell said.

His best-dressed list for 2007, which is not ranked, included Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, Reese Witherspoon, Jemima Khan, Angelina Jolie, Beyonce, Helen Mirren, Katie Holmes, Katherine Heigl and Prince William’s girlfriend, Kate Middleton.

Richard Blackwell started his own clothing line, The House of Blackwell, in the 1950s and dressed actresses Jayne Mansfield and Jane Russell as well as first lady Nancy Reagan, among other famous names.

He was an important designer and during the 1960s he became the first in history to present his line on a television broadcast; and the first to make his line available for plus-size women.

The emergence of casual-wear in the 1980s brought an end to his fashion-line.

He is now best known as a fashion journalist and for producing his annual best and worst dressed lists every January.

The top 10 roll-call of fashion dishonours is:
1. Victoria Beckham
2. Amy Winehouse
3. Mary Kate Olsen
4. Fergie
5. Kelly Clarkson
6. Eva Green
7. Avril Lavigne
8. Jessica Simpson
9. Lindsay Lohan
10. Alison Arngrim

Posh to be seen on Vogue cover soon

Victoria Beckham has finally cemented her place as a style icon - she will be soon seen on the cover of Vogue magazines British edition.

London, Jan 14 : Having spent a fortune on clothes for years, Victoria Beckham has finally cemented her place as a style icon - she will be soon seen on the cover of Vogue magazine's British edition.

According to a source, Vogue usually hires models to appear on its cover; therefore it is an accomplishment for Posh.

"Victoria's doing the fashion shoot this week with top photographer Nick Knight who's shot stars like David Bowie and Kate Moss, the Mirror quoted the source, as saying.

"The cover will be on the April issue of Vogue and the magazine is planning to dedicate 12 pages to her.

"It's rare for Vogue to use someone other than a model for the cover, so it's a real coup for Victoria," the source added.
